White Labs was co-founded by Lance Shaner and Mark Schwarz. The duo met while working at a law firm and have backgrounds in Micro Biology and Electrical Engineering.
Omega is located in Chicago, IL and has a large selection of yeast strains. They provide pitches based off the original gravity and starting plato using a table (shown below). They have the largest selection of Genetically Modified Yeast strains.
Overall
Omega has a great reputation and a huge selection of strains (as long as you do not care about GMO Yeast). This makes them one of the most attractive of the new yeast suppliers. That selection does come with a price tag and makes Omega one of the most expensive labs to purchase from.
